New GO-GN team members
After last week’s exciting news that we have GO-GN funding for a further three years, I would like to introduce you to two new team members who join me (Martin), Rob and Beck as part of the Open University core GO-GN team. Taking over in Project Management we have Kylie Matthews, who also works with us on the EMC project. Kylie says:
I have been a part of the Open University for five years, though I am completely new to GO-GN and the IET Research Team, exciting stuff! I’m looking forward to get stuck in and get to know more of the GO-GN family. Currently I provide admin support to a range of projects including ADMINS, openTEL and the OER Hub. I also look after the diary of our Associate Director of Research. When not in work my two-year old daughter keeps me busy and I like to attend the odd rugby match in Leicester when I can.
Also joining us half time as a researcher is GO-GN’s very own Paco Iniesto. Paco says:
I joined the GO-GN network from its beginnings when I was a part-time PhD student at UNED, and the OU Netherlands managed it. Since then, I have participated in several of their seminars and joint investigations with members of the network. Thanks to GO-GN, I learned about the PhD scholarship that has kept me at the IET in the OU for three years as a full-time PhD research student, during that time, I investigated the accessibility of MOOCs. After that, I have been working as a Research Associate for a year on projects such as OpenTEL, ACCESS or ADMINS, and finally, the road joins me to collaborate with GO-GN, I am looking forward to working with the team!
Welcome both to the team, (in addition to the GO-GN Penguin of course), they’ll get to meet a lot of the lovely GO-GN people over the next three years . After the OEGlobal conference next week, we’ll announce the next seminar.
