Fellows Research Special: third cohort

As you know we have in place the third and final cohort of fellows and we are really looking forward to hearing their proposals, as well we want to get to know the experiences from the second cohort recently finished. Please join us at 16.00GMT on Wednesday 16 March 2022.

The programme is as follows:

  • 16:00 Welcome
  • 16:05 Catherine Cronin will discuss her proposal that will explore sharing/applying OE expertise, capabilities and resources with community-focused initiatives in higher education. Carherine is currently engaging with a range of community-focused initiatives at different higher education institutions in Ireland to understand their needs and challenges, and the potential of open resources and/or practices to address these.
  • 16:25 Viviane Vladimirschi will introduce her fellowship proposal which will investigate if basic public education teachers who were enrolled in and took a forty-hour Open Online Course on OER offered by the Federal University of Santa Maria in Brazil, did engage, if at all, and in which ways with OER and OEPs in their emergency remote classes or during their face-to-face classes during this pandemic period.
  • 16:45 Michael Paskevicius will present his project which amis to identify and develop a framework for digital literacies in relation to open access resources, open copyright models, networked learning environments, and open educational resources. For that purpose Michael would like to build upon the technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) framework extending the existing model and consider this in the context of open educational practices.
  • 17:10 Round table with the Second Cohort, guests are: Verena Robers and Nicole Neutzling, who will briefly present their open podcasting project and provide feedback about their fellowship experience.
